Biography of Ashu Gai

Ashu Ghai (commonly searched as Ashu Gai) was born on October 7, 1992, in Delhi, India. He grew up facing significant financial hardship after the passing of his father. Raised by his mother, Anju Ghai, he supported his family from a young age — working as a tiffin delivery boy and starting private home tuitions while still a student.

Despite these challenges, Ashu excelled academically. He attended Rukmini Devi Public School and later transferred to Govt. Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, where he scored an impressive 95% in his 10th-grade board examinations. This academic achievement shaped his desire to make quality education accessible to all students — regardless of their economic background.

He pursued higher education in physics at Rajdhani College, University of Delhi, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Hons.) in Physics followed by a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics. He later returned to his alma mater as a guest speaker, completing a full circle in his educational journey.

In 2013, Ashu Ghai launched his YouTube channel, Science and Fun, with the goal of transforming how students interact with science subjects. While initial growth was slow, a major life event in 2019 — a significant financial loss in real estate — motivated him to scale his platform aggressively, building both a large digital community and a physical academy.

Today, Ashu Ghai runs the Science and Fun EdTech Private Limited company (incorporated 2022) alongside OSR Academy, a physical coaching center in Delhi co-founded with his brother Ushank Ghai.
