Ashu Ghai was born on October 7, 1992, in Delhi, India. Raised by his mother, Anju Ghai, after his father's passing, he excelled academically despite financial struggles. He studied at Rukmini Devi Public School, later attending Govt. Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, where he scored 95% in his 10th exams. He pursued higher education in physics, earning both a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons.) and a Master of Science (MSc) in the field.

Ashu Ghai started teaching early to support his family. His journey began with private tuition, and in 2013, he launched his YouTube channel, "Science and Fun". He co-founded OSR Academy in Delhi with his brother Ushank Ghai to expand his educational outreach.
